SYSA provides a team experience for your soccer player; volunteer coach, team jerseys, teammates, practices, and games scheduled on Saturdays! Players may also experience new friendships,  new soccer skills, celebration tunnels, team cheers, FUN team names, and after-game snacks!

SYSA has historically hosted the largest recreational soccer league in Spokane County. SYSA provides consistent and affordable soccer programs for youth ages 4 through 14 where every kid receives playing time and a positive atmosphere to help them build self-confidence. Beginners are welcome; the goal is to get youth from every corner to play soccer.

SYSA’s fall program includes; players with birth years 2020-2011 will practice once a week and 2016-2011 players will practice twice a week. We are hopeful this soccer program will provide physical activity, bring kids together to interact and make friends, create a routine, learn new skills, and have FUN! There will be 6 fall games played on Saturdays, September 14 – October 19.  The 6 spring season games will be scheduled from April 19 –  May 31.

Your player’s registration fee includes 6 fall games, 6 spring games, jersey top, licensed officials on 2016 and older teams will be requested, field rental costs, insurance, porta potty units, WYS membership, national background check, coach training (training required by law includes; Safesport, Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest), field equipment, coaches equipment kit, and administrative/office staff support.

Plus! We are thrilled to continue SYSA’s latest initiative – Beyond the Game: Nurturing Young Athletes Lesson Plan. As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering values of respect, teamwork, and integrity, we will introduce a structured program that focuses on a new core value every week during our practice sessions. Our dedicated coaches will spend time each week discussing essential aspects of life and being involved in sports with our young athletes. From respecting opponents and embracing teamwork to demonstrating honesty and grace in victory and defeat, our initiative covers it all! Why are we doing this? We believe that sports are more than just games – they’re opportunities for personal growth and character development. By instilling these values early on, we’re not just shaping great athletes but also responsible individuals who excel both on and off the field! We invite all parents, guardians, and supporters to join us in the journey of promoting a positive sports culture. Encourage your child to embody the spirit of sportsmanship, both in sports and in life! Together, we can create a community where respect, fairness, and camaraderie thrive.

SYSA has teams spanning the greater Spokane area to make youth soccer more convenient for families. Practice and play in your neighborhood. Teams will be formed by neighborhoods. Games are scheduled at locations centrally located between the teams’ neighborhoods. Want to play with a friend in your same birth year? Indicate on the player registration form. Are you returning and hoping to have the same coach? Coach request is also a part of the player registration form. (We will do our best to honor these requests when possible.)
