Fall Soccer Training 2020

SYSA historically has hosted the largest recreational soccer league in Spokane County.  Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, soccer matches are not permitted in Phase 2.

We are EXCITED to provide Soccer Training this fall. 2015-2013 players will train once a week. 2012-2007 players will train twice a week. We are hopeful these training sessions will provide physical activity, bring kids together to interact and make friends, create a routine, learn new skills, and to have FUN!

Our mission is for all youth to play, develops skills, learn good sportsmanship, and understand the value of being a team player.

Fall Training Dates:

September 14 – October 24  (6 weeks)

All trainings will be coached by a Lead Volunteer Coach. A Lead Volunteer Coach will request for parent assistance at the training sessions to maintain the 5:1 ratio. Parents should plan to assist the coach a few times during the season

Training Details

2015, 2014, 2013: train 1 day a week
2012, 2011, 2010-2009 & 2008-2007, HS Coed: train 2 days a week

8th graders with an Aug-Dec 2006 birth year may register and play in the 2008-2007 league. 2006 players – register with a 2007 birthdate and email Renee@sysa.com to change your birthdate after you register (system is quirky).

The Volunteer Coach picks the practice day, time and location upon completion of the Coaching Registrations (4).
Practices could be scheduled Monday – Saturday.
Practices can begin after September 14.  (Click for Field Locations).

No Game Days

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Phase 2 does not allow games. There will not be games or scrimmages.

Player provides

Athletic gear appropriate for the weather to include; Shirt, Shorts, Socks, Shin guards (required), athletic shoes or cleats. Players will need their own soccer ball (2015-2013 size 3; 2012-2009 size 4; 2008-2007, HS Coed size 5), labeled water bottle, labeled hand sanitizer, and a mask (to be worn to/from field)
