Recreational 2006-2014 Soccer League
SYSA hosts the largest recreational soccer league in Spokane County. The complete session consists of 7 fall games and 5 spring games. SYSA offers small-sided games for youth that are adjusted for each age group. This in combination with our effort to ensure each player receives at least 50% playing time means that every kid gets more touches on the ball.
SYSA practices and most games (as the league size allows) will be played in your neighborhood.
SYSA is a partner club with the Seattle Sounders and the local youth competitive club Spokane Shadow SC.
Our mission is for all youth to play, develops skills, learn good sportsmanship, and understand the value of being a team player.
Fall Registration includes both Fall & Spring Seasons
Fall 2019 Season:
September 7 – October 19 (7 Saturday games)
Spring 2020 Season:
April 18 – May 16 (5 Saturday games)
Registration – by July 25
Priority deadline is July 25. Registrations accepted after July 25th as there is space available. Players that request a coach is not a guaranteed placement. Rosters will be finalized at the Coaches Meeting August 20.
Registrants will be placed on teams based on their closest elementary school or high school.
On the player registration form, registrants may request a coach – this is not guaranteed placement as a team’s roster may fill up right away.
Optional, registrants may use the additional comments section if you have a friend request.
Each team needs a volunteer coach. If a volunteer coach is not identified, we will email with the families requesting a volunteer. If a coach is not found by September 5, the players’ registration fees will be refunded.
We are ALWAYS looking for volunteer coaches. Volunteer coaches must by 18 and pass a national background check. Will you coach? Do you have a relative or family friend that can coach your player’s team? SYSA provides coaching clinics, curriculum, a soccer kit (cones, bibs, ball, whistle), and a team photo. Plus, the coach picks the practice day/time/location that works around their schedule!
