Weightlifting 101 with Crossfit Spokane

This is a 4 week course led by certified and experienced coaches who will teach your kid/teen how to exercise effectively and lift weights safely in a fun and encouraging environment. It is designed to assist in their growth in all sports & allow them to get creative with staying healthy and active. This course is split into 2 age groups: Kids group ages 8-12 and Teens group ages 13-18 years old and regardless of fitness ability and exercise experience, each person will be met where they are at to ensure they get an appropriate workout and a great experience.

MEET the Coaches:

Katie Szambelan: Katie has been coaching Youth Tennis for 5 years and she is a certified Crossfit Level 1 and Crossfit Kids. Her favorite thing about coaching is having the ability to tailor lesson plans to facilitate the growth of each athlete in a support environment.

Emma Nocas: Emma has been coaching for 3 years. She began her Crossfit journey at 15 years old and has her Crossfit Level 1, Level 2 and Kids certification. Her favorite thing about coaching is knowing the power that weights can have in changing all lives! She wants to show everyone how strong they can become if they believe in themselves.

Our mission is to provide sport activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.

2021 Weightlifting 101 Summer 1

Information: June 23 – July 19 (Mo/We) 8 classes @ Crossfit Spokane (google map)
Registration Deadline: June 17 (Limited to 10 participants per class, will close when full)
Kids group ages 8-12 10:00 – 11:00 am FULL – waitlist available
Teen group ages 13-18 3:30-4:30 pm Spots available
Camp Fee: $90
Session Dates: 6/23, 6/28, 6/30, 7/5, 7/7, 7/12, 7/14, 7/19
Player provides: Athletic Attire, Athletic/Running Shoes, and Labeled Water Bottle, and a mask to be worn according to the latest Covid 19 Sporting Guidelines.
