Crossfit Weightlifting 101
Weightlifting 101 with Crossfit Spokane
This is a 4-week course led by a certified and experienced coach who will teach your kid/teen how to exercise effectively and lift weights safely in a fun and encouraging environment. It is designed to assist in their growth in all sports and allow them to get creative with staying healthy and active. This course is split into 2 age groups: The Kids group ages 8-12 and the Teens group ages 13-18 years old regardless of fitness ability and exercise experience, each person will be met where they are at to ensure they get an appropriate workout and a great experience.
Meet the Coach:
Katie Szambelan: Katie has been coaching Youth Tennis for 5 years and she is a certified Crossfit Level 1 and Crossfit Kids. Her favorite thing about coaching is having the ability to tailor lesson plans to facilitate the growth of each athlete in a supportive environment.
Our mission is to provide sports activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.
SYSA Weightlifting 101 at Crossfit Summer I
Information: June 21 – July 14 (Tu/Th) 8 classes @ Crossfit Spokane (google map)
Registration Deadline: June 16
Kids group ages 8-12 years, 10:15 – 11:00 am (limited to 10 participants, will close when full)
Teen group ages 13-18 years, 1:15 – 2:00 pm Spots available (limited to 15 participants per class, will close when full)
Camp Fee: $90
Session Dates: 6/21, 6/23, 6/28, 6/30, 7/5, 7/7, 7/12, 7/14
The player provides Athletic attire, athletic/running shoes, and a water bottle.
