SYSA Youth Basketball Skills Development Grades Pre K – 2nd Grade

Spokane Youth Sports is now offering skill development program for Grades Pre-K – 2. The fall session is a 4 week program taking place on Saturdays at The Warehouse Athletic Facility. Fall Session starts November 12th.

Spots are limited and are expected to fill up fast.

This four-week skill development program will focus on basketball fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and more all while teaching the game of basketball, promoting good sportsmanship, and having fun.

Volunteers are needed for each station! Each parent volunteer will receive 50% off their child’s registration. SYSA staff will provide a curriculum to coaches on instructing and leading stations.

Our mission is to provide sport activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.

Season Dates

2022 Fall Session: Grades Pre K – 2 : 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10
2nd grade: 8:30-9:20 am (50 minutes) Space is limited to 100 participants per session
1st grade: 9:30-10:20 am (50 minutes) Space is limited to 100 participants per session
Pre K & K: 10:30-11:20 am (50 minutes) Space is limited to 100 participants per session

Registration Deadline

Fall Session – Register on or before November 3rd – Space is limited to participants per session
** waitlist registration will open if session fills before deadline

Uniform

SYSA will provide a shirt.

Player Provides:

Labeled Basketball (PreK = 25.5 ball, K, 1st, & 2nd Grade 27.5 ball)
Labeled Water Bottle

Volunteer Coach:

A Volunteer Head Coach is needed for each 1/2 court – All SYSA coaches are volunteers. For more information, contact receptionist@sysa.com
The Volunteer Head Coach will receive 50% off their child’s registration. LINK for registration procedures. The Head coach will receive their 50% credit after the program starts.
