🏒 A Fast-Paced and Fun Program for 3rd–6th Grade Athletes

SYSA is excited to bring the energy of NHL Street to Spokane’s young athletes! In partnership with the NHL, this new program introduces the fast-paced, inclusive, and action-packed world of street hockey—no ice skates or experience required. NHL Street is built to make hockey more accessible and to create a safe, positive space where kids can play, grow, and have fun.

Each weekly session features 30 minutes of skill-building—focused on teamwork, movement, and stick-handling—followed by 30 minutes of live gameplay in a supportive, high-energy environment. With an emphasis on character, community, and confidence, players will learn the game while developing valuable life skills.

Every participant receives an official NHL Street jersey to use and keep!

Program Dates

Registration Deadline: October 9 – Waitlist will open if sessions fill early

Session Dates:
Saturdays: November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & Dec 6th
No session on Nov 29th for Thanksgiving weekend

Session Times & Grades:

5th–6th Grade: 8:15–9:15 AM (Max 72 participants)
3rd – 4th Grade: 9:25–10:25 AM (Max 48 participants)

Cost:

Grades 3–6: $105
A 3% non-refundable banking fee + $1 service fee will apply at checkout

What’s Provided:

Official NHL Street Jersey (handed out at the first session and for the player to keep)
Floor hockey sticks, goalie equipment, goals, and game balls (please do not bring your own hockey stick)

What to Bring:

Athletic clothes & shoes
Labeled water bottle
Recommended – mouthguard

Volunteer Coach:

A Volunteer Head Coach is needed for each 1/2 court – All SYSA coaches are volunteers. For more information, contact receptionist@sysa.com
The Volunteer Head Coach will receive 50% off one child’s registration per division
LINK for registration procedures. The Head coach will receive their 50% credit after the program starts.
Online Registrations are confirmed by email; if information is omitted notify SYSA via reply email.
