SYSA Futsal Indoor Soccer

Futsal is a form of small-sided indoor soccer. It is played between two teams who each have five players (1 goalkeeper/4 field players) on the court at any one time, with rolling substitutes and a smaller, less bouncy ball than soccer. 5 games and no practices. Check out the RULES

Fall 2022 – Winter 2023

SYSA will offer three recreational Futsal Indoor Soccer sessions. There will be 5 games per session scheduled on either Saturdays between 8:30 – 4:30 or Sunday afternoons between 12:30 – 4:30 at Shaw Middle School gym.

Our mission is to provide sports activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.

Players register individually. Players may request a coach or a teammate.

2022 Futsal Session 1: CANCELED – SHAW MS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
2023 Futsal Session 2: January 21 – February 12 (Saturdays/Sundays) CANCELED
5 games are scheduled: 1/21 or 1/22, 1/28 or 1/29, 2/4 or 2/5, and 2/11 or 2/12. One doubleheader is likely.
2023 Futsal Session 3: February 25 – March 26 (Saturdays/Sundays) CANCELED
5 games scheduled: 2/25 or 2/26, 3/4 or 3/5, 3/11 or 3/12, 3/18 or 3/19, 3/25 or 3/26

2010 – 2009 U14 $85 (limit 40 participants)
*8th graders with an Aug – Dec 2008 birth year may register and play in the 2010-2009 league

Uniform

Jersey top provided for this program.

Player provides

Athletic gear appropriate for the activity; Shirt, Shorts, Socks, Shin guards (required), athletic shoes or court shoes (no cleats), and a labeled water bottle.

IMPORTANT:

• A Volunteer Head Coach is needed for each team, please consider volunteering – All SYSA coaches are volunteers.
