SYSA has historically hosted the largest recreational soccer league in Spokane County. SYSA provides consistent and affordable soccer programs for youth ages 4 through 14 where every kid receives playing time in a positive atmosphere to help them build confidence in themselves. Beginners are welcome, as the goal is to get youth from every corner to play soccer.

We are EXCITED to provide recreational soccer this Spring. 2019-2016 players will practice once a week. 2015-2010 players will practice twice a week. We are hopeful this soccer program will provide physical activity, bring kids together to interact and make friends, create a routine, learn new skills, and have FUN! The 6 spring season games will be scheduled from April 13 – May 18.

Your player’s registration fee includes: 6 spring games, jersey top, licensed officials will be requested for 9v9 teams, field rental costs, insurance, WYS membership, national background check, coaches training (training required by law includes; Safesport, Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest), coaches equipment kit, and administrative/office staff support.

Due to the severe shortage of sports officials: Officials will be requested from the Inland Empire Soccer Referee Association for the 9v9 matches. Parents, coaches, and families will be expected/needed to officiate the 7v7 matches (and the 9v9 matches when an official does not self-assign to the game). The Head Coach(es) for the 4v4 and 5v5 teams will be the coach & official on the field with a focus on teaching the game to the young players.

SYSA has teams spanning the greater Spokane area to make youth soccer more convenient for families. Practice and play in your neighborhood. Teams will be formed by neighborhoods. Want to play with a friend of your same birth year? Indicate on the player registration form. Returning and hope to have the same coach? Coach request is also a part of the player registration form. (We will do our best to honor these requests when possible).
