Community in Schools

SYSA Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide sports activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, learns good sportsmanship, and the value of being a team player.

Program Information

SYSA provides year-round, affordable, safe, and fun opportunities for young people to play a sport, learn good sportsmanship, develop leadership skills, instill a healthy lifestyle, and participate as a team member.

Spokane Youth Sports Association (SYSA) is partnering with Communities in Schools to provide recreational youth sports programs at two Spokane Public Schools; Lidgerwood and Logan, for the 2024-2025 school year.

SYSA will coordinate 3 different 5-week sports programs; basketball, pickleball, and soccer,  to provide after-school sports experiences for Kindergarten to 5th-grade students.

With SYSA, everyone has the chance to play, no matter their skill level, and that creates a lifelong positive memory for many of our participants.

Participants

The program is available to students who attend either Lidgerwood Elementary School or Logan Elementary School.
