Tournament Scoring/Placement Method

The team with the most points in Group Play will be the winner of the Group.  The rest of the teams shall finish in the order of highest points

• If teams are equal in points, then tie-breakers, in order of importance, shall be:

  • The team which defeated the other

  • Total goals against

  • The team with the fewest losses in group play

  • The team which posted the most opponent shut-outs (opponents held scoreless)

  • The team scoring the most goals up to five per game

  • Kicks from the penalty mark

In matches which require a winner (Championship, semi finals, 3rd/4th place), if the score is tied at the end of regulation, two 5 minute over time periods will be played.  If there is not a winner at the end of the over time periods, the winner will be determined by kicks from the penalty mark.  There is NO “golden goal” during overtime.  Both periods will be fully played.
