Grade K-1 Youth Basketball
SYSA and Spokane Hoopfest have teamed up with BUILT4BALL to introduce a new youth basketball development program. This program is designed to teach the beginning fundamentals of the game to both beginning basketball coaches and young basketball players – boys and girls in grades K through 3 – and offer a fun and engaging basketball environment that will help prepare them for the Spokane AAU Basketball League beginning in grade 4.
Grades K – 1 will meet one hour per week for 7 weeks. USA Basketball certified coaches will teach the fundamentals for the first half hour. Then, players will be broken up into teams of four to play 3 on 3 games for the last half of the session. Players will have the opportunity to play on different teams each week! SYSA’s 3 on 3 model will ensure that players get more touches and are able to focus on the fundamentals of basketball on a smaller scale.
Season Dates:
January 9-February 22
Registration on or before December 14th:
Grade K-1 $90 per player
Kindergarten Sessions – please note a coach will not contact you, player shows up for selected session
Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 , starts January 9th
Thursdays 5:30-6:30, starts January 11th
1st Grade Sessions – please note a coach will not contact you, player shows up for selected session
Tuesdays 6:30-7:30, starts January 9th
Thursdays 6:30-7:30, starts January 11th
Players may register for one session. Sessions are 7 weeks long, one hour per session. Space is limited, 48 participants per session
